On Mar 16, RASA collaborates with local collective, Sivilian Affairs, on the first RASA Weekender of the month.

The early evening to midnight affair, curated by Sivilian Affairs co-founder, Sivanesh, will see old-timers of the local scene, Dodgy Yamamoto, Ramesh, and David Jacobs on support duties for special guest, Sampol.

Sampol is well-known in Barcelona's electronic music scene as the founder and resident DJ of Checkpoint, a collective that has been organising parties in the city for over a decade.

Deeply involved in both music and visual arts, he co-founded Meeting Point Gallery in Barcelona. As a DJ, Sampol has gained a following for his energetic sets characterised by euphoric yet heady grooves which he regularly shares snippets of on his Instagram page, @javisampol.

Checkpoint, under Sampol's leadership, has become a reputable brand in Barcelona's nightlife and beyond. In 2022, the collective celebrated its 10th anniversary with a world tour across Europe, Africa, America, and Australia.

In December 2024, Sampol announced his plans to depart on an Asia tour, taking him to Bali, Singapore, Thailand and China before he returns to Spain.
