Day 2 of RASA Weekender and race weekend keeps the engine running with a stacked lineup. At the front of the grid is house DJ & producer Fred P aka Fred Peterkin. He’ll be joined by RASA residents Anwar, Daryl Knows, and Sivanesh. Over at Hall, Secret Pals’ Ape & Pat get things rolling before Anushka takes the wheel with a mix of breaks, bass, electro and more.
A veteran of the deep house and techno scene, Fred P has decades of experience behind the decks and in the studio. A native New Yorker, Fred P came up during the golden era of clubs like Red Zone and Sound Factory, which heavily influenced the introspective qualities that define his sound.
Now based in Berlin, Fred P's DJ sets mixes soulful house with psychedelic moods. He draws inspiration from pioneers such as Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, and Danny Tenaglia, but also pushes forward with a futurist perspective.
As Black Jazz Consortium and under his own name, he has released he has released eleven albums and countless singles and EPs, including the critically acclaimed EP “Deep Things” and the cult classic “6AM,” while his more recent output has found a home on his Private Society label and other imprints.
Race weekend doesn’t end at the circuit, it runs deep into the night. Catch Fred P in the driver’s seat at RASA.
